I started this blog nearly five years ago, just ahead of the “Lehman shock; (the Japanese catchphrase for the financial crisis of 2008 and the subprime mess in the US.)
Looking back over several hundred posts, I can see how it became more of a personal journal and less of a platform serving a niche audience, such as career changers.
For example, two of the three most popular posts (in terms of traffic) have been about goal creation and mind mapping; topics close to my heart for nearly 30 years.
To be honest, I’m surprised that the acrostic poem gets traffic but there you go.
Anyhow, successful career changes feed off time and momentum, and mine’s been no exception.
And so, in line with my life maxim of be well and be happy, I’ve decided to resume blogging here, but with a primary focus on science fiction (project #4 below).
I’ll be attending to the following creative and commercial projects in 2013 and beyond:
1- Commercial Writing:
This draws on earlier career experiences in the IT field, as well as retraining from people I consider experts in their fields e.g. Business-to-Business (B2B) case study writers.
Visit samuraiwriter.com/blog for further details.
2- Goal Creation Maps (GCM):
The GCM web site has been around since 2008 but is currently in hibernation. I’ve created a lot of content on both goals and mind mapping.
3- Non-Fiction Author:
In addition to some ideas for special reports I’ve blogged about here but not (yet) published, I also have a book project on the topic of “self-coaching a career change using just five rules”. My original plan was to self-publish a print book (via Amazon) but I may also add a digital format to the mix.
4- Fiction Author:
I’m interested in a number of genres including science fiction.
That’s a lot to be getting on with so I better get back to work.
Thanks for stopping by.
